How to make your fragrance last longer
A few simple habits extend a fragrance’s staying power without changing its character.
How long a perfume lasts depends first on the skin wearing it: hydrated skin holds scent materials better than dry skin. A few habits then make the difference.
- Moisturise before applying, with an unscented lotion or the body line of the same fragrance.
- Aim for warm spots: neck, wrists, behind the ears.
- Do not rub your wrists together: friction heats up the top notes.
- Scent your clothes too, from a distance, on fibres that tolerate it.
